BizMerlin » Features » Appraisals and Performance Reviews
With BizMerlin, you can easily conduct appraisals and performance reviews and use any combination of measures such as competency levels and performance metrics. You can conduct reviews as often as you like, although research conducted at the Human Resources Institute of New Zealand shows that formal appraisals are most effective if done every 6-12 months.
The Basic Process:
- Create appraisal for a specific user and for a specific time frame and ensures the measurable items of the appraisal match the user's expectations and the organization's expectations of the user. (Ideally, these items come directly from an employment/contractor agreement, or job description).
- Assign appraisal to reviewers. Reviewers can appraise themselves (self reviews), peers (peer reviews), supervisors and others. The reviewers are notified and periodically reminded until they complete their reviews.
- Once reviews have been completed, the reviews can be consolidated and the appraisees are notified that they can review their final results. At this point, the HR can take any actions as appropriate as well.
