Appraisals

BizMerlin includes comprehensive support for appraisals and performance reviews. You can create the appraisals for the team and assign the appraisal for reviews. You can conduct reviews as often (or as rarely) as you like.

Here is a basic appraisal process:

  1. Create an appraisal for a specific user and for a specific time frame and ensures the measurable items of the appraisal match the user’s expectations and the organization’s expectation of the user. (Ideally, these items come directly from an employment/contractor agreement, or job description.)
  2. “Start Review” for the appraisal. It locks the appraisal for editing. Then, you can assign the appraisal to reviewers. Reviewers can be appraisees themselves (self reviews), peers (peer reviews), supervisors or others. The reviewers are notified and reminded until they complete their reviews.
  3. Once enough reviews have been completed (as determined by the administrator), the reviews can be consolidated and the appraisee notified that they can review their final results.
